The greens mower units have been in the workshop for sharpening so apologies for the longer grass this week - they will be cut later today and again in the morning. We continue to cut daily otherwise.

After the heavy rain last week the course recovered well as the soil could soak it up after the Summer. Similar flooding from extreme weather events in the coming months may take longer for the course to recover leading to course closures.

For some time we have been monitoring the water flow on the 9th hole (which feeds the 5th ditches and 8th ponds) and we have decided to try to limit the flow as with the increasingly frequent downpours the ditches can't take the volume and floods the course. We will see how this works out over the coming months.

Last week we asked trolley users to keep away from greens but tracks were clearly visible all around the green surrounds. Please keep trolleys 10 yards away from greens otherwise we will have rope areas off sooner that we would like and even enforce trolley restrictions. Feel free to politely inform playing partners who do not adhere to this policy - it is in your interest to protect the course.
