Up until the Wintery blast today, we have had fairly dry weather that enabled us to make great progress on Autumn maintenance. The dry conditions have made leaf management much easier, as we can clear leaves without dealing with wet ground or needing to rely on mowers to mulch them. Most leaves have now fallen, except for those on our oak trees.

Course Work near Greens and Tees
We’ve taken the opportunity to sarel roll, over-seed, and sand-dress several areas around greens and tees. Sand dressing will help firm and smooth these surfaces, while over-seeding is aimed at improving the turf quality for better play. With regular application, these practices will yield gradual improvements to your playing experience.
Green Repairs and Winter Recovery
In addition, we’ve spot-seeded areas of the greens affected by disease damage. We’ll continue this work throughout winter as mild conditions allow, to aid recovery by spring. We’re using a disease-resistant bentgrass mix—a fine-leaf variety designed for durability on the greens.
Driveway Improvements
Off the course, we’ve started improving the driveway by widening it back to its original size, which will help direct surface water more efficiently during rain. We’ve also filled in potholes and will finish up any remaining work soon.
